IRGC BYPASS SANCTIONS THROUGH ROUHANI'S SMILE DIPLOMACY'

Image
This week marks the beginning of Hassan Rouhani’s second presidential term, which is vital for the existence of the ruling theocracy in Iran.In his inauguration speech, Rouhani described his plans to have high level relationships with world. However after the speech, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called for standing against America. At first glance, there seems to be a significant conflict of priority, but in reality this is just a political deception directed by these two clerics. On the face of it, president Rouhani claims that he is pursuing a detente policy with US and Arab countries. However, in reality, his government allocates billions of dollars, which was gained from the nuclear deal, towards the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its ballistic missile program development. Rohani’s actions reminds one of the English proverb, “Do as I say, not as I Do”. The experience over the span of almost four decades has shown clearly that there are no moderates within th

Tortured by 'Moderates'

Hassan Rouhani was sworn in for his second term as president of Iran on August 5, surrounded by fresh flowers, fervent followers, and around 500 foreign officials. Representatives of the United Kingdom, France, the United Nations, and the Vatican rubbed shoulders with the Syrian prime minister, Hezbollah second-in-command Naim Qassem, Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader and FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list member Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, and murderous Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe. The Westerners didn’t seem uncomfortable in such company; indeed, European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini was described as the star of the show after Iranian members of parliament elbowed through the crowd to take selfies with the diplomat. But why should they have been bothered? They were in Tehran, after all, to celebrate the renewed rule of a man who has overseen a steady increase in killings—Iran has the world’s highest per capita execution rate. Three days before Rouhani’s inaugur

Iran and Massacre of 30,000 MEK and Other Political Prisoners

The US Senate voted almost unanimously last Thursday to impose new sanctions on Iran. The legislation cracks down on Iran’s activities including their missile development programs and human rights abuses. This is the first time that Iran has been targeted for violation of Human Rights. “Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter, the Secretary of State shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a list of each person the Secretary determines, based on credible evidence, on or after the date of the enactment of this Act (1) is responsible for extrajudicial killings, torture, or other gross violations of internationally recognized human rights committed against individuals in Iran who seek (A) to expose illegal activity carried out by officials of the Government of Iran; or (B) to obtain, exercise, defend, or promote internationally recognized human rights and freedoms, such as the freedoms of religion, expression, associat

Legacy of a dictator: Iran's 30,000 murdered, then and now

Legacy of a dictator Irans 30,000 murdered, then and now   By Hassan Mahmoudi  July 14, 2017 -- In the wake of the 30th anniversary of the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in summer of 1988 in Iran, the people of Iran and especially families of the victims are still waiting for justice and an international tribune. In the summer of 1988, the political prisoners were systematically executed in almost two months.  In a barbaric two-month purge, prisoners, including teenagers as young as 14, were loaded onto trucks in groups and hanged from cranes. During the past three decades, the regime blocked all attempts to investigate the extent of the massacre.  They even went farther to cover up the crimes by toppling and damaging cemeteries and headstones of martyrdom graves with bulldozers. In Iran, there is no criminal justice system or government institutions deterring crime or sanctioning those who violate laws with criminal penalties.  The supreme leader,

NCRI Interim Session

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) issued a statement reporting its semi-annual session held on July 6th and 7th with President-elect Maryam Rajavi taking part. The statement reads in part: Maryam Rajavi welcomed members of the NCRI as well as the participants who attended the first day of the meetings as observers. On the eve of the anniversary of the July 21, 1952 uprising, she paid homage to the martyrs of that great uprising and to Dr. Mohammad Mossadeq, the late leader of Iran’s National Movement. Also, on the anniversary of the foundation of the National Council of Resistance on July 21, 1981, she paid tribute to the martyrs of the Iranian Resistance who gave their lives in the relentless battle against the mullahs’ religious dictatorship and guaranteed the democratic alternative’s credibility and progress. In her opening remarks, Maryam Rajavi briefly reviewed the most important developments of the past year and asserted, “Of course, the organized Resista

MATTIS' REMARKS UNSETTLE IRANIAN REGIME

Image
When US Secretary of Defense James Mattis made remarks regarding the importance of regime change in Iran, it provoked extreme reactions from the Iranian regime.Mattis’ recent remarks is another episode in a series of such statements. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson first raised the issue of peaceful regime change at a congressional hearing on June 14th. On July 7th, John Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN said the solution for the Middle East is regime change in Iran. US President Donald Trump and US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, have made very similar statements. After only 6 months into its term, the new US administration’s positions and actions in regards to Iran is causing the regime to express its concerns through its media. According to a recent  article  by Mahmoud Hakamian, there are two reasons Mattis’ remarks had such a powerful effect, “One, the very nature of such words emphasizing on regime change, and two, such a senior US official making these remar
